Can a placenta that has been anterior but not low (not over cervix or over old C-sec scar),checked at about 21 weeks by ultrasound, move back downwards later in pregnancy?

I was told that placentas generally move upwards relative to the cervix as pregnancy progresses, but I felt very little movement for ages, and all I felt was on the sides of my belly only. Now (32 weeks) I am feeling suddenly lots on the front of my belly. Is it just that the baby is bigger and maybe in a different position, or can my placenta have shifted "out of the way" so to speak?!

I thought the placentas didn't actually "move" but more that the uterus stretched and grew and the placement of the placenta seemed to change.

If this is true, then I would not think it could change that much after 21 wks.
