Hi Ladies. I'm Lisa, and I'm new here. I have 3 kids of my own, which I've had no prolem carrying to term and birthing vaginally. I am 13 weeks pregnant with twins (seeing a CNM, but "co-managed" by an OB) as a surrogate mom. Anyway, I had an ultrasound today and the OB told me that I have previa and will require a c-section. I KNOW that it's too early to determine that in a singleton, but is that the case with twins as well? I would think that 13 weeks is way too soon to be jumping to conclusions such as this. Yes?

In answer to your question, I really can't say how issues in pg exacerbate with multiples. I would think you have just as much chance of the placenta moving (if not more) during this pregnancy, which doesn't necesitate deciding on a section now, but really I am just guessing.

There are many forums involving pg/multiples/high risk, etc that would probably be much easier to find what you're looking for. Good luck, I hope you're able to get a better answer.

And if you are in the right geographical tribe, then welcome again.

from what i remember only full placenta previa is cause for cesarean...
partial placenta previa is okay because the pressure of the baby's head will prevent a bleed out.... and you wont know yet... this sounds bad... if i were you id try and see if you can change medpros...
