Hello all,

I make baby food for my ds, and I freeze it in those plastic cube trays. IT lasts him for a good 2 months. Is this okay to give b/c of the whole plastic thing? I am sometimes worried that maybe freezing it in those plastic cube trays is nto really healthy.

Do you guys think it is okay?\

Thanks

Well, this doesn't exactly answer your question, but it may improve things slightly since I don't know your storage method...could you freeze in the plastic ice trays just until solid and then pop the cobes out and put in glass storage containers in the freezer (like Pyrex or something?) That way the plastic exposure would be minimized at least.

Or you could use muffin tins?

When my son was little I would use a cookie sheet and freeze small pancakes of baby food, pop them off and then keep them in either a bag or container of some sort. You can even cover your sheet with foil or wax paper to make it easier for them to come off. They freeze very quickly as well.
