Hello Mamas

I'm posting for my Mom who cares for my niece (6 years) & nephew (18 mo), as well as another wee one (6 mo) in central IL. She's feeling terribly isolated and could use some outlets for play & connecting with other women (especially grandparent caregivers). Are there any resources that I might point her to to make connections, or are there established playgroups that I can put her in touch with via the phone (sadly, she doesn't do on-line/email communications)? Even recommendations for things to do with them in the area would be helpful.

TIA!

I'm not in central IL anymore but would suggest getting her in touch with a local LL meeting and AP groups. I've seen a couple of threads about AP meetups in Springfield and around Champaign. You might do a search on this forum.

Central IL is a pretty big place, it might help to tell us where she lives.

Thanks so much! My Mom's in Tuscola, but spends time in Champaign twice a week. I've gotten in touch with the LLL leader in Champaign and will look for AP groups as well.
