I'm 12w2d and I had the CVS testing last Monday and hope to get the results back end of this week or early next week that will tell me if we can keep this baby. I want the results asap but DH will be out of town from tomorrow through Monday, so I kinda don't want them until he is back - so torn.

This is pregnancy #2. The first time around we new the odds (50/50) so chose not to get excited about it - didn't listen to the heartbeat, look at the ultrasound, etc. This time around, we are enjoying it no matter the outcome. The CVS test was a pain in your you-know-where. I guess this pregnancy my cervical opening is following a tortuous path, in both senses of the word. It took FOREVER to get the catheter in, painful the entire time. It was pretty amazing though in that before the procedure I got to see the little bean from a side view, with it's beating heartbeat. During the procedure it flipped around and I had a few from the top down. It went nuts, arms flying around like it was swimming, just amazing.

I've been waking up in the middle of the night, not able to get back to sleep for hours. I think it is the stress of not knowing and hope it will go away soon - go away for a good reason

Any advice on sleep? I always eat something when I wake up as I tend to be pretty hungry, have tried homeopathic and that usually works but not now.

I had a CVS done as well and it was quite painful. I'm not sure what chromosomal defect they are looking for but we were looking for trisomy issues and we were lucky to find out FISH results in 2 days. Big (((HUGS))). Our FISH results came back clean but I still could not relax until I found out for sure, one week later, that all was well from the genetic side. Now I am anxious waiting for the 18 week Level II scan to show that baby is growing well and no apparent birth defects.

I hope your results come back quickly and that all is perfect with your babe.
