thanx for posting that! I just got a bunch of berry blue today to do a soaker for ds. I have used that color before so I know what it will look like. But now you got me thinking I should go back for that green or the orange, or the CHERRY!!!!! That cherry is such a nice deep color.
That is amazing. Thanks for sharing! I love that green, and the yellow. I can't read the packets- what flavors made those colors?

Lemonade made the yellow, lemon-lime made the green

I had an idea tonight after seeing this........
I have been saving up some $ in paypal for a few cute wool soakers, since I have decided to go mostly wool. I have 2 aristocrats and one organic wool soaker already. I was going to try to get some cute ones now, but I am having a hard time getting anyone to get back to me(won't mention any names...)
I think I will buy 4 more aristocrats, which quite honestly, I LOVE the fit on ds so why fix it if it aint broke? Then dye them RED ORANGE YELLOW GREEN BLUE and PURPLE
Then I could have the convenience and practicality of ordering an instock cover with all the cuteness factor! Still not the same as a custom soaker, but pretty cool I think.
Okay, I should have been following the kool-aid posts all along, but I just started to pay attention. Does the dye eventually wash out and/or fade or does it stay pretty even? Also, I'm assuming this will felt my wool even more. I wanted to do an aristocrat, but I do NOT want it felted. I have one that I bought used and it is very felted and I never use it because I don't like the way it's thick and stiff.. doesn't seem comfortable. So if I try to koop-aid dy the other one that isn't felted.. will it end up felted? Thanks!

If you dye it in lukewarm water like you'd wash it in and don't agitate it, it should be ok. But I don't know how well the dye will set b/c heat sets the dye better than cold. I used the kool-aid on felted jersey and microwaved it lol

I haven't noticed any fading with my lime green Aristocrat, but some of the red from my Bumpy wrap does rub off on my prefolds if the diaper gets very wet. It always comes out in the wash, though.

I didn't notice any felting when I did my Aristocrat the first time. However, I wanted to see if I could make the color deeper and re-dyed it. I'm not sure if I did something wrong in the dying part, or if my water was too hot when I re-lanolized it, but it is slightly stiffer now -- not really felted looking but it feels thicker than it did before in the crotch area.
