I love the concept of the Moby wrap, but I've been told that it's pretty hot. I've always used ring slings, and I want something better. I live in Texas, and while my baby's due in the winter, and the added warmth would be nice, I would like to be able to use it comfortably in the summer too. Any suggestions? What carrier do I need?

I love the Moby and am still in the 'too hot!' mode like I was in the pregnancy and I've not had any problems with it. Although, it is November and I'm in MO, but still. I've only worn it inside too - so plenty warm as it is. I can see how it could be too hot, but since it's that soft T-shirty material I don't think it'll be crazy like it would be with a fleece wrap.

I got too hot in the moby wrap during the hottest days of the summer. Not sure if the sling is any cooler because my maya wrap got permanently shelved after 2 days of using because it made my back hurt.

I wish there were a solarveil moby wrap!

Gypst Mama baby bali breeze wrap or a similar guaze wrap would be cooler. I wore a Moby most of the summer until I got a guaze wrap and it wasn't too bad.

Thanks for your responses. I'll look into the bali breeze as well, it sounds quite nice for summer. I went ahead and ordered a moby, since it's a winter baby and you really can't lose any money on it, re-sellable as it is. If I find it too hot in the summer I'll try something else. I guess NOTHING will be very cool, considering that it's a bunch of cloth wrapped around the torso. Maybe in the summer I'll just wear it over a light cami.
