My son and I were stricken with a stomach bug earlier this week. He nursed less and wasn't able to keep food down. By Tuesday I noticed that my breasts were significantly smaller than usual and that I was no longer feeling the let-down reflex. I was also just diagnosed with some major food alleriges and I've changed my diet. I've already been off dairy and gluten/wheat for 3 weeks but now egg has been added to the mix. I haven't been eating as much as there are significantly less options. My son is eating much less solid food, nursing a lot more often, and even making the traditional yellow poops but I don't know what's going on with my boobs. Help! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Fenugreek should do the trick. 3 capsules three times a day. I had two awful stomach bugs while DD1 was a young baby and to use it to boost my supply back up.

Keep yourself well-hydrated (no need to get waterlogged, but don't get dehydrated either), eat as healthily as you can, and let him nurse as often as he needs. That should build your supply back up in no time. You do need to be sure you're taking in enough calories, because if you're not, you could make yourself sick. Be sure to take a multivitamin or prenatals until you find what foods you can eat to meet your nutritional needs.
