I have never seen that before so I have no idea what it can be but here are some thoughts.

Maybe a food allergy? Have you introduced something new in his diet that he didn't have before the rash?

I have also heard that babies get roseola at one year and it appears as a rash. I think that if you press on the redness and if it doesn't turn white, it can be a sign of roseola. Although he's had it for a month and that seems like a long time for a virus. Have you checked with his pediatrician?

That does not look like staph to me... I agree with the ringworm... It *looks* like it, but probably is not.. It looks more like an allergic reaction or hives to me.. Could it be from a change in his diapers or detergent?

Doesnt look like ringworm to me. Older DS has it right now and Ive seen many cases of it, an it looks nothing like that.

Can you tell us, is it raised? Flat with little bumps? Does it go away when you press on it with a clear glass? Do the spots ever change areas? meaning are they in the same spots they have been since he got them or it varies from time to time?

looks like hives to me....my sister used to get hives a lot as a kid from things she ate - one thing in particular that i remember is yellow #5. i never saw it on her bum though...but i was a little young to have changed her diapers!

Not sure what it is, but I know that it doesn't look like either ringworm or roseola to me. Ringworm is more of an actual ring rather than a complete circle. Sorry mama! Hope you get it figured out!

Looks like hives to me too... do the ones he's got one day disappear and then reappear in another spot? Try changing diapers, cleaners, etc. If you can, let him go naked as much as possible for 24-48 hrs and see if it goes away.

Erm, try changing back to pampers cruisers?? That would be my first step! If it goes away then there is a different fabric/plastic/additive in the baby dry than in the cruisers, which would not surprise me at all.

If you go to http://www.askdrsears.com/ and type "diaper rash" in the search box, you'll get several links to rash info. Might help you decipher what you're dealing with.

You may want to try switching diaper brands from Pampers to something else...I notice Pampers have a string scent to them, which could be contributing to the problem?
