The last 2 nights that she has slept in a wool cover she has woken up with red marks. The first tiem it was just one thing line around her thighs... Thinking the pressure from how she was laying cause it was only on the front and she sleeps on her tummy. But last night I had her in her OS LL cover and she has red marks around her legs and waist that aren't going away! More like a reaction to the matterial (or something on it) than pressure cause this cover isn't very tight on her... I would assume it's something on the cover, not the wool itself since she doesn't react like this to everything, but how do I strip a wool cover????

I have no idea, but I would think eucalan would work. I wash my wool either with shampoo or eucalan. Eucalan you don't have to rinse, so it may be low reacting, but you could try shampoo too, maybe a gentle baby type one would be a good choice to balance the dye or whatever is in the cover with something you KNOW your baby doesn't react to (like a shampoo you already use)? Just a thought.

Like a red rash... The first time it was like indentations and only on the front which is why I think pressure... This time it is a bright red rash!

Oh and this is a natural wool cover, not dyed! Although I have been thinking of tyedying it. LOL!

Could it be a heat rash? My little dude is hyper sensitive to heat and anything binding increases his rash likelihood. Is this the first time she's been in wool for extended periods? I hate inexplicable rashes

It's the first time in this cover over night. It could be heat rash I guess but we had the windows open and the fans on last night and it was pretty cool actually... And usually heat rash would show in the diaper area for us as well... (it has in the past at least)

I hate unexplained rashes also. I once kept getting hives and couldnt' figure it out till one day when we were at the dr's for the zillionth time my DH realized every time I broke out in hive i had eaten Hickama (that is really spelled wrong but I can't figure it out)... Turnes out I have an allergy ot it..

Do I use Hot on wool though, or just warm??? Normally I use just warm on my soakers but since I wanna get whatever might be bothering her out of it???

Ah! Got ahold of Jen, it's the detergent she used originally... We are pretty much allergic to most. The only regular detergent we can use is Purex... once I wash it out it should be fine!

Thanks for all your help girls!
