Hi we arrived in the UK yesterday for a 2 week visit and my son will not eat. He keeps saying he needs to get out of here and he just wants to lie around and not do anything. he slept 12 hours solid last night. he hasnt eaten anything since travelling. he was very travel sick too. please help me mamas. i got 2 weeks here.

a friend of mine came to visit us in the uk for 2 weeks when her ds was 2, he really struggled with it as well - whereabouts in the uk are you? maybe i could suggest some fun places for you to go.

HI thanks we are in westbury our old hometown. we used to live here we are at nannys house. i know everything in the area, we have loads planned, he is actually better now for a bit!!

Oh I am sorry you lil guy is having a hard time mumma!<br>
I would try to take him somewhere fun or even buy him a special UK toy.<br>
Also, make a count down calander for him to see how long he has until he goes home.<br><br>
Good luck, my hubby is from Australia (we live in USA, all his family is down under) and this is one reason why we have not made it back yet with our 4.5 year old son.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/hug2.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Hug2">

My 3 yo also gets homesick while on vacation. I have found that making a paper chain really helps. We also keep him occupied with new things during the day (and plenty of outside time). At the end of the day he removes a chain, and we count the days left. He enjoys making the chain, and it lets him watch the days disappear.
