My MIL constantly harps on me that I cut ds2 6months nails to short. Well I have to, yes there are very short and it does not bother him when I cut them so short. Even them being so short he still scratchs or gouges his face. Better to have really short nails than a bunch of cuts on his face, I think anyway.

are you hurting him? are you making him bleed? does he cry b/c you cut them so short?
what does too short mean? why is it any of MIL's business how short you cut his nails?
she doesn't have very important things to worry about if she's bugging you about this, of all things.
I cut them as short as I can! The shorter they are, the longer it'll be until I need to cut them again
At that age - 6 months - I was cutting them twice a week!

What is "too" short???

no, no and no lol, i do not know what to short is prob if i said yes to all you questions, i guess she thinks it her business, just like she harps on me cause SHE thinks i cut my toenails to short, well i love them short lol, i think she is just to dam nosey lol.
I cut or file Olivias nails almost every other night after bath. Hers grow so long and even when I cut them good she still scratched her face last week. I would say as long as your babe isn't crying, bleeding, or anything else your fine.

Me too! My DH keeps his long because of ingrown toe nails and I hate it!!

I agree with the others, as long as they're not bleeding or anything I think you're fine. I keep Holden's short too.

With all due respect, that is a very weird thing for her to be worrying about (especially, is it any of her concern how short you cut your own toenails!?!?
What IS it with all these MIL's thinking they have a right to put their nose into everything!?)

With my DS, I MUST cut his nails very short, as short as possible, for he grabs my bottom lip when he nurses and YANKS. Very painful and skin breaking when his nails are long.

I don't know what too short is. I cut them down as far as I cut my own nails down.
