Born at home February 8 at 11:07 pm after about 8 hours of labor (40 minutes pushing)!
9 lbs 7 oz
21.5 inches long
Baby is perfect! I had 1 small 2nd degree tear (at the exact site of my 3rd degree episiotomy from last birth) that required 8 or so stitches. The midwife said that if he hadn't had his hand up by his face when being born, I probably would have been tear-free. I'm taking it as a win anyway, because I already feel SO much better than the last time around!
August isn't so interested in nursing yet (he reallllly likes his hands!) but hopefully once the milk comes in he'll change his tune.
Big brother Silas is so proud and wants to hold (and feed him
) all the time.
Longer birth story coming soon (starving!)
Here are a few pics, more to come!
