I'm 6dpo, in the 2ww, and the pee-stick I have says that I can POAS as early as 4 days before my period is due. However, I'm on a 33-35 day cycle and not due until the 19th...do I seriously have to wait til the 15th to test?

(As a sidenote, I'm in a library and someone's perfume is making my stomach do backflips. I think I may run to the bathroom in a minute. And I'm overwhelmingly tired. I only THOUGHT I'd been tired the past few days, I'm EXHAUSTED now.)

mmm..some ppl can test earlier than that...it mostly depends on your hcg levels...if it were me, sure, I would've peed on that stick. As I have no patience and seem always always think I'm pg every month lol. But ideally, its better to wait atleast a couple of days before your period or even WHEN you miss your period. You chances of getting a false negative/positive then are pretty slim.

I probably wouldn't test until at least 10 or 11 dpo. When I feel like POAS early, I go get some from dollar tree. I hear they are pretty sensitive tests, too.

It REALLY depends..there are a very few women that never get a positive from POAS, even when they are like 6 months preggo! MOST women will get a positive by 14 dpo. Some will get a + at 10 dpo. a VERY rare few can get a + as early as 7-8 dpo. It's really pretty impossible to get a positive earlier than that.....after the egg and sperm meet and fuse, it takes a few days to get into the uterys and find a place and start burrowing in...only then does the body start making HCG, and it takes a few days after that for it to get high enough to test for....but there can be a pretty big difference in both how long it takes the egg/sperm to get to the right place in the uterus to start burrowing, and in how fast your body cranks out the hcg.

Personally, I think that 12 dpo is a pretty safe time to test.....and by 15dpo, you should have a pretty full=proof answer.
But, of course, being a POAS addict, I'm sure i would start tesing at 5 or 6 dpo.
I'm pretty sure those tests say "up to 4 days before AF" by basing their assumptions on that mythical 28 day cycle/ovulate on day 14 rule. Also of course their fine print says not all women can test that early. Right now I have a 10 day LP...no way in heck testing at 6 dpo would give me a BFP. So I think they are basically saying that you have the possibility of getting a BFP at 10 dpo.
