I usually stockpile toothbrushes when they're on clearance like nobody's business . . . but now, for the first time in 4 years, I realize that I only have 3 left in the closet! I go through them fairly quickly. Has anyone noticed a great deal on toothbrushes lately? Not picky about the kind, just want them cheap!!!

Thanks.

Any dental schools or dental hygienist training centers in your area (sometimes found at a VoTech school or a community college)? They often have free toothbrushes.

Walgreens usually has them free after rebate every other month or so. I have also found some really great deals on toothbrushes at Big Lots. HTH.

I get them at CVS with coupons and the extra care bucks. I stockpile them, and usually wind up paying pennies or even free after the extra care bucks. for example, GUM toothbrushes and oral-b indicators are the extra care buck ones this month - I had coupons for both, and bucks generated from previous week's purchases, so I got 12 toothbrushes for free.

I was just going to ask if you had a CVS. They have 2 packs of Oral B toothbrushes free after extracare bucks this month (thru June 30th). They're kinda pricey up front, but you end up getting the same amount back in an extracare buck. There are also coupons out that make them a "money maker," but even if you don't have the coupons...free is good. I think they're limit 2 per card, so 4 toothbrushes right there. Or...get more cards.

I've always gotten mine free from the dentist. They gave me some for the kids too, even though they haven't been seen yet.

Otherwise, look for coupons and use them during sales. Or, get the store's brand.

Another vote for the dollar store. In my area, the Dollar Tree store seems to have the highest quality items.

Another Dollar Tree vote, I get really great Colgate toothbrushes there, plus I buy as many kiddie toothbrushes as possible since my DD destroy the brushes with chewing on them, but I get a 4 pack or something.

Costco sells six-packs of Oral-B toothbrushes.

Me, I never buy toothbrushes. I get my teeth cleaned at the dentist every six months, and they give me a (really nice) toothbrush. ;-) I guess you're supposed to rotate them out every three months or so, but I wouldn't remember anyway if I tried.

you're supposed to change every 4-6 weeks, or after you have any infection/cold/virus.

Hmm... according to who? I remember my doctor telling me to change toothbrushes every time I had strep throat, when I was getting it every six months, and I think my dentist says every three months or so. Is it the toothbrush manufacturers saying every 4-6 weeks? ;-)
