When the twins are born we are going to have their pictures taken by our favorite photographer. I'm not into the naked baby thing so I'd like to find a couple of really sweet diaper covers to use in the pictures. They will most likely be around 6 pounds when the pictures are taken so the covers have to be small. I'm open to prints or solids and want something a little cuter and more "custom" than a prorap or other "main stream" cover.

Thanks!

We took newborn pictures of our son in a Thirsties AIO diaper which is the same as their covers. It was super cute! And I do think solids would probably be better with twins because otherwise prints might distract more from them which is what you want to be the focus. I could be wrong, I'm not sure! Here is a link to our photographers blog with a couple of the pictures she took:

My goodness your little Noah Eli looks super adorable in his Thirsties AIO, RGsMom!

I don't know if you can beat such sweet photos! My recommendation was going to be natural colored wool soakers- hand knit or aristocrats or lana... something old-fashioned and sentimental!

Have fun!

Thank you so much! He is a sweetie
- I was excited to get them taken since we never had newborn pictures with our daughter.

Those pictures are beautiful! I really like that style, it is similar to the kind of pictures we will be taking too. I love how the red cover contrasts with the beautiful blue wall. The thirsties cover looks a lot cuter than I thought it would, too.

We will be doing a few "wardrobe" changes, which is why I don't mind having a cute print cover too. I like the variety.

I thought about doing a wool cover, but they all look so huge on itty bitty babies. Maybe I'll scour esty to see if someone makes a newborn soaker that is relatively neutral.

Thanks for all the help!!

Honestly, why a cover?
I think it would be cute to have just a nice fitted on or a snappied/pinned prefold. Even if you are not into pins normally, it is very cute on a picture. You can even get a couple embellished prefold for that.

Beautiful shots!!

And I agree with another poster, you really don't NEED a cover. You could go with a few really cute fitteds (I see sooo many beautiful ones on Etsy) or another WAHM. Wool is another great option. Why not knit them yourself for that much more sentimental value? If you look through my flickr photos(click on a link in my sig) you will see DD in a really cute knitted wool cover. It fit her perfectly

You know, I honestly never thought of just using a fitted or prefold!
I'm a complete novice when it comes to cloth diapering. There are some really cute fitteds out there... Thanks for the suggestion!

I would loooooove to make my own, but I am knitting needle challenged, lol! I just can't get the hang of it despite my grandmother's best attempts. I might ask my cousin to make a couple for me though. She can do some amazing things with a ball of yarn. Do you have a favorite pattern?
