Tay-Mee

Actually, DH wanted Tyme (but all I can think of is "Tie Me"...like tie me to a chair
) So I modified it to Tayme (pronounced Tay-Mee). It's unique that's for sure...but I'm not 100% if I like it or not.

Just about everyone who sees her name will pronounce it "tame" and that will be sure to get her teased over and over again! If you are OK with that, then go ahead and use it. If not, be aware that that's likely how it will happen. Maybe if you spelled it Taymee it would not be mis-pronounced so much. It's still not my cup of tea, but she's not my daughter.

Eh, I don't really like it either, but more important, I think the spelling is a big problem if you don't want to be explaining it and correcting people her entire life.

I am against made up spellings. Your kid will never be able to have someone just write out their name. They will always have to spell it to anyone they interact with. Trust me as someone who stills has to spell her name. It get old.

LMAO that was the one reason I wouldn't personally give a kid that name...who wants to be named after THAT guy?

...as do I with Kristy being spelled a ZILLION different ways. I have always had to spell out my first AND last name. It's just something some people have to do I guess.

It's not my fav to begin with but it was growing on me...I'll still have to think it over with some good pointers made here.

Some of my other favs (but probably not DH's) are: Lily, Chloe, and Ella.

You're wrong!
First thing I thought of!

I think it's a good name, either spelling. And I don't think there are a LOT of people who would remember him.
