DD is 6mos + 1 week. From 2wks old to 6mos she had seedless poos that were VERY liquidy. There was no consistency to it at all - it would just soak into the diaper almost like urine. The color was more brown than yellow. There was also often mucous.
Now, right at 6mos, her stools changed. They are thicker in consistency and are definitely yellow in color. The consistency often looks like that of homemade hummus. (sorry for the food comparison!)
I think its wierd that her stool has changed so much all of a sudden and can't figure out why. This new type of stool may actually be more normal as I think her past stool was not normal (seedless and TOO think and liquidy plus the mucous). So it makes me wonder what led to the change? Maybe what was wrong before?
She has not really eaten solids, so its not that. She has just had a couple licks here and there and a teeny tiny amount of banana has actually been swallowed. But she is not even exposed to solids every day so that can not account for the change.
Any ideas? Did my milk change? (not likely) Has she all of a sudden started absorbing the nutients better? (she's been a slow gainer most often, though developmentally is perfect and ahead)
