I am in the beginning stages of researching Naturopathic Doctor graduate programs at Bastyr in Seattle or National College of Natural Medicine in Portland. This would mean a complete relocation from the east coast!!! I am drawn more to Portland, mainly because it appears housing is cheaper, and there is a charter Waldorf School. Any suggestions on where to get more information on the two cities? Also, does anyone know of a Sustainable Agriculture college program near either city? I have a teenage son who is interested.

Thanks for any help/advice!

I love visiting Seattle, but Portland is smaller and more easy to get around, more liveable, I think.

From your post, I think you are probably looking to live in inner SE or NE. The Urbanmamas website is a good source of information on all things parent-related. www.urbanmamas.com.

Bastyr is not actually in Seattle. It is in Kennmore which is a lot cheaper to live then Seattle.
