There's a shoe store on Hawthorne. I think it's called "Clogs for Kids" or something. They have some very cute shoes (not only clogs) but they are a little spendy.

I've heard excellent things about Haggis McBaggis in Sellwood, right on the main drag...Milwaulkie, I think. I am guessing that it, too, is SPENDY--looks too cute not to be. I am one who cannot be browsing in shoe stores if I cannot afford to buy. I am addict and should not be tempted.

Oh, and depending on luck you might find something at the Hanna Andersson Outlet on Boones Ferry Road in the SW. There is also a Columbia outlet--great for winter coats and boots--in the same plaza. I am a bargain shopper to the core.

Nordstrom is really great about getting you a good fit. Here are the best times to go:
1st week in June
3rd week in July
1st week in Nov

These are the big sales. The kids shoes dept also has good promotions in the fall. Also if you hit it just right, the Nordstrom Rack has some really good deals and some nice shoes. It's hit or miss. I used to work at Nordstrom so that's where I'm getting all my info

It's worth it to find a personal salesperson in their shoe dept so you can pre-sale your shoes in July since they are brand new fall shoes.

a second vote for Norstroms. We buy our kid shoes there. There is also a Stride Rite store at the Clackamas Town Center and at Washington Square. Sometimes they have buy one get one 1/2 off.
