So I know that pregnant women mostly get those ghastly comments made to them like "oh you've really popped," and "my, you are growing". Believe me, I have had enough of them so far this pregnancy that it makes me want to puke. Especially when they say these things and have just seen me a week prior!! (Seriously, how much can I really grow in 1 week!!!!!) Anyhow, I got a very nice comment tonight and wanted to share. I was at my daughter's spring concert and saw a friend of mine who commented that I looked good. I replied that I was feeling sooooo huge. Then a woman that I don't really know overheard the conversation and said "you look beautiful". She proceeded to ask when I was due and then said again, "you just look absolutely beautiful!!" Boy, did that one, nice comment make this huge and miserable pregnant lady feel good!! (even if only for a few moments!!)

Aww- how nice! I had a garage sale this Saturday and had two women (who did not even speak English) comment on how cute I looked, and told me I was having a girl-lol
Then yesterday while returning a movie at the store I had another two women tell me how cute my belly was
I never was one to get that many comments, so he few nice ones are fun!

I put on a new (hand me down) dress today, and my friend looked and me and told me that I looked gorgeous.

Mind you, this was the first thing out of her mouth when I went to go complement her on her new baby born yesterday!

I love this idea!

I visited a friend a week or so ago and when I got home there was an email from her that said "I just wanted to say that you looked really pretty today." How nice! I hadn't even showered!

Also, the girl who does occasional babysitting for us (I say girl but I think she is 24- yikes, makes me feel old!) told me that I truly have the "pregnancy glow" and that my skin has never looked better. Maybe that's because all the weight I am gaining is smoothing out my wrinkles!! But still nice to hear.

I got an "oh how cute!" today at the bus stop, it's finally warm here so my belly is not hiding under a coat or sweatshirt anymore.

Then about 2 weeks ago I got hit on,
. It was cold and really windy so I had my hoodie wrapped around me and I was carrying a large book across my chest, so it was not obvious I was pregnant. I got to the train station and see this guy look me up and down before he walks over and asks suavely how I'm doing and offers his hand to shake. I said I was fine, while sweeping my hoodie aside, putting my hand on my hip, and sticking out my preggo belly. He was like
"oh." I said "yeah, sorry I'm taken." It was pretty funny, and definitely a little confidence booster.

I totally splurged this past weekend and bought a new dress at Gap Maternity. It was totally out of my usual price range for maternity clothes, but I just loved how cute and flattering it was so I bought it. I wore it to work today and one of my clients said to me, only you could manage to look so cute and stylish 7 months pregnant.
It made me feel great, especially with all the swelling and sudden cellulite appearing on my thighs.

Someone told me the other day that I looked really cute (why do women always have to add.... not huge and fat like I looked when I was pregnant....), anyway, I tend to carry pretty small so nobody believes I'm as far along as I really am. For now.

This is a nice thread. It reminded me that about a month ago, I was in Old Navy with my 2 yo ds in tow, and a 19-year-old-ish guy totally eyed me and said "how's it going" in a way that made me run giggling to my dh. I'm not sure what his issue was - I'm almost 30, pregnant, and pulling a toddler by the hand, but it was flattering nonetheless.

Also, my dh's uncle told me that I look so cute pregnant I'll have to have more children. I felt pretty frumpy that day, so that was nice to hear.

I love this thread.

I have been very lucky in that I basically carry my babies in front and I am basically "all baby". I have had several friends/coworkers tell me that they are jealous and want my body when they are pregnant. And apparently you can't tell I am pregnant from behind. I guess that is a good thing.

I've basically gotten nothing but good comments. I love hearing "wow, you've grown" ... it makes me feel like I'm growing a healthy baby! I'm always a little concerned that I'm not gaining enough (17lbs so far, I know that's pretty much right on, but everyone else seems to gain more...) Most people just say, "you look great!" and leave it at that. A lot of people say that it doesn't look like I'm 6 months along and I have mixed feelings about that, like my baby is going to be small and sick.

When I was pg with DD (about 20 weeks), some guy hit on me. I told him that I was pregnant, and he said, "That's okay, I've heard about pregnant women" and then he winked. Ewwwww.

Last week my neighbor (mom of 3) told me I looked cute. That is really about it. DH just says, "wow, you really look pregnant."

I love this thread! I've had my share of crazy comments, but at Bunko on Monday night, several of the ladies told me I looked really pretty. No, really pretty! I was surprised because I felt like a big, bloated whale.

My DH tells me often that I am an incedibly sexy PG woman. It's nice.

I get told a lot that I look cute. Which is not something I usually hear in my professional life of course as I am a stockbroker and most people don't go around telling stockbrokers that they look cute, LOL!

I feel huge, even though I have only gained about 17 lbs at 27 weeks, so it is nice to get the positive comments.

Well today 2 different women said "Wow! You look really good for 7 months your still small." All I HAD been getting was wow your getting big.

Needless to say, it was so nice to hear.
