I was watching Trading SPouses last night and the mom was vegan....she made a big deal out of choosing compassion over cruelty and that made lots of sense.<br><br>
So my question: Why are eggs against the vegan philosophy? Or do I have it all wrong? Do vegans eat eggs?<br><br>
Now I must sound like a total idiot so I'll go <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/sulkoff.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="tiptoe">

The reason vegans don't eat eggs is because they're an "animal" product. Vegans stay away from any product that required the use of an animal to make it. Also laying hens are the worst treated animal in the factory farming industry.
