I have a NIB britax to ship-will the post office send it like that, or do I have to cover it with paper. What would be the best way to send this? THanks!

I'd ask your PO. Though...UPS or FEd EX may very well be cheaper for such a large package (also, there's a limit to size to ship USPS, and it may be too big)

I agree take it to UPS or Fed Ex will be a lot cheeper

thankfully, you don't have to wrap anything in paper anymore. UPS, fedex or the USPS will just stick a big ol' barcode on it and you'll be set.

In my experience yes, they will make you cover it. But yeah - I agree with the two pp that said UPS or Fed Ex will be MUCH cheaper.

I don't know if this helps, but I recieved a lost suitcase from the airline via UPS. It wasn't wrapped or anything, they just stuck a tag on the handle. Maybe they would do the same with a carseat??

I have been told on several occasions by the post office people *not* to wrap boxes in paper b/c the paper just rips off and creates more problems. I'd look at UPS or Fedex as a less expensive shipping option for sure <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
