Wouldn't you know it that on the day my insurance expires, I dislocate two of my toes.

Is there anything I can do to keep from having to go to urgent care? I really can't afford this right now. It's severe enough to where it's very painful to walk, but definitely not so severe that it needs surgery. What's the likelihood of them popping back into place on their own?

that would be painful, I hope you are doing okay. That said, two years ago after being rushed (by ambulance, no less) to the emergency room for a dislocated knee cap that was so painful I thought I would die, the dr. told me pretty nonchalantly that I could have put it back in place myself just by straightening my leg
: . So, if you really don't want to go to urgent care, I would think you would be safe to wiggle it gently until it pops back into place, but if it hurts to much or you can't, by all means bite the bullet and go into urgent care. Good luck!

Oh that must hurt terribly! I would guess if they really can very little for broken toes that there might not be much that they can do for dislocated toes. If I were you (and believe me I am very happy that I am not!) I would take some advil/tylenol (if you take those types of drugs) and after giving them a little bit of time to work I would slowly point my toes as far as I could (just like the PP said the Dr told her to straighten her leg).

Good luck - I hope you feel better soon!
