<p>Hi,</p>
<p>My baby is 4 weeks old and was recently diagnosed as having a 3rd degree lip tie and a posterior tongue tie by a phenomenal IBCLC (lactation consultant).  However, neither she nor I know if anyone in FL who will perform the surgeries necessary to correct the issues...or who even believes that they are an issue for breastfeeding. </p>

<p>I am looking at flying to Philadelphia, PA or Albany, NY to have this done, but of course, it would be nice to do it closer to home!</p>

<p>Any information is much appreciate.</p>

<p>is there a pediatric ENT in your area?  that is who corrected my son's type 3 posterior tongue tie.</p>

<p>I would check with Dr. Denise Punger in the Ft. Pierce area.  twofloridadocs.com</p>
<p>She clipped my daughter's tongue tie and knows a lot about the subject.</p>

I'm not sure if you had it fixed, my daughter had a pretty sever one but nursed well (painful for me but what can you do) so pediatrician said to wait and see, it would snap on it's own. It didn't. We had the surgery just before she turned 18 months. Nursing was different but still successful after.<br>
Best wishes, my recommendation is definitely fix it sooner rather than later.

He clipped DS2's posterior tongue tie. I would recommend him if you can't find someone in FL.</p>
