Just wondering if anyone here has experience posting resumes on dice or careerbuilder or .... We're so far very spam-free and I'm afraid posting on places like this might lead to ick. Having personal info floating around out there doesn't seem like a good idea either. Any tips on using these services more safely? Any warnings? Any stories of success?

TIA!

I would not post a resume on a big website like careerbuilder.com (not sure about dice) however my dh has had good success (interviews/jobs) with posting on a career-specific website (schoolspring.com ...for teachers) without any spam.

I would try to find any websites geared towards your career or field.

Dice is billed as a site for tech/it folk. It's huge, though. And I'm wary but I'm also interested in putting a line out there in case something looks interesting.

Monster apparently had a huge breach of security - someone hacked their site and got a huge amount of personal data from the folk who posted there.

Anyone have any experience with dice?

I set up a separate email account that I use (it's yahoo, so it's free) when I'm worried about spam. It's a little bit of a pain having to check 2 accounts, but I know when I'm looking for something in extra one, so I don't always check it. I use this extra account for when I do online ordering, too.
