I'm due with baby #3 in mid-June, and I'm wondering if there are any student postpartum doulas in the Tucson area that are looking to gain some experience and help get their certification for a reduced fee or free. I have two other children, ages 3 and 7 at home, and I'm worried about having enough help around the first two weeks or so. My husband is going to be somewhat available (he'll be studying for the bar exam that takes place in late July), but I don't think I'll have much support from my mom or sister.

I live in northwest Tucson near Thornydale and Magee. PM me or respond here if you are interested! Thanks

Too bad you live in Tucson. I am working on my certification in the Phoenix area and looking for moms to help. Have you found someone? Maybe you could contact doulas in your area and see if they know of anyone who could help you.

Aw, that's too bad. Thanks for replying though. I'm pretty hooked in with the doulas in my area, and I just don't think there are many PP student doulas around. On a happy note though, my mom just told me that she could come stay with me for a few weeks, so hopefully between her and some of my friends I'll be okay. Good luck with your certification!
