Hello!

Well we've begun potty learning! DS just had his first pee (him standing - me catching in a special bowl)

I've done word associations for many months now. "poop poop poop" during and after he poops and "pee pee pee" during/after I think he's peeing (when he does the classic 'shiver')

Any way, my question is how often does an EBF 10/11 month old pee? I know every baby is different but any answer or guess would be great!

Hello!

You may want to try posting this in the Elimination Communication forum. For what its worth, my 11 month old seems to pee about once every hour or two during the day.

We've been ECing, but we are really relaxed about it. He usually goes on the potty 2 - 3 times a day and we change 3 or 4 diapers a day. At this point nearly all poops are in the potty, but some days are better than others pee-wise. By the way, little boys can pee sitting on the potty. Its way easier than trying to "aim".

Mine peed a lot or a little or frequently or not depending on what I had eaten or drunk! She could go for a good hour and a half if we were out and about in the sling but much less time between pees if we were at home and she was nakey.

I send the pp's recommendation of popping over to the Elimination Comunication forum (in diapering) You'll find lots of help there and others who are doing the same as you.

eta Not that others here in Life with a Babe aren't ECing

DD wees a lot. At home in the morning she will wee between every 15-30 min. When out in the morning I'd say ever 45 min to an hour. Doesn't wee in the Ergo - yesterday she spend 2 h in there in the morning! In the afternoon she feeds less and wees less, maybe once 30 min to an hour and a half? Then she start weeing a bit more around dinnertime. She is dry during day-time sleeps, and often at night (we potty her when she wakes up. I'd say we catch about 20 wees a day ( and miss 2-3).

Good times to try is just after a sleep - immediately, not after a slow wake-up(now DD can hold it longer, but she knows the potty will be offered). Also just after a breastfeed.

Good luck!
