And should I buy it?

Ronan will be two in September. We have a tiny house, so I'm leaning toward one that goes over the regular toilet. Is this a mistake? (I have to admit, even though I CD, I'm also not keen on the idea of cleaning out a mini-toilet.)

Any advice appreciated!

I bought the same bjorn one, but didn't like it for my DS. He's on the small side and kept sittin on the hard plastic pee guard on the front. We've had a potty sitting around for ages...I figured it would be good for him to just get used to having it around with no pressure to actually use it. Now that we are getting to the point of actually starting some potty learning...he wants to sit on the big potty :LOL Anyway, that's my long way of saying...I would porbably just go straigt to the insert. Baby Bjorn makes a great one...really stable and comfy(seems it anyway...i've never actually sat on it :LOL).

I bought one at Target today. I think the brand is Summer. It was $10, and you can use it as a potty, a step stool, or you can take the top part off and put it over the regular toilet seat. It must be comfy, DD likes sitting on it so much that she always grabs a book and sits down on the potty to read. :LOL

We have the same one and DD does the same thing with a book! (although she has zero interest in peeing in it...) she actually likes to sit on it before she gets in the bath, but alas, it is still dry!!

I have two different ones. I have the baby bjorn one that goes directly on the toilet seat, and its very adjustable. It has a carrying handle so you can hang it on the wall (great space saver), and DD will bring it to me when she wants to use it (even if its just to lounge and sing songs/read books with mommy :LOL ) I also purchased a portable seat for on-the-go for around $10 at Babies R Us. We've only used it at home, but I'm hoping to get DD used to it so that she will use it when we are out and about and she needs to use big potties. Its foldable and has its own bag, so its VERY small and portable. That's what works for us.

HTH!
