OK, this is my currnet concern:<br><br>
DS is 4.5 m/o. He spent last WEEK with his grandma out of town. I pumped while he was gone, she fed formula and probably didn't sit him on the potty. B4 he left, we were failry intune with his signals, and caught 2-5 pees a day, with the occasional poop. Now, since he came home none. But he's also on a nursing strike and I think his dad may end up weaning him :<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> But anyway, how do I pick back up on his signals? COuld they have changed?? COuld it be something else (teething, ear infection, mommy going back to work and have a few breakdowns in the last month)???? Could it be ALLLLLL of this?????<br><br>

Wow--sounds like you've had a lot going on recently! I would bet that he's reacting to being away from you for the week--that can be a huge deal for a baby that tiny. He doesn't know that you WILL be back, you know? So he's probably still coping with that, and is afraid to reconnect with you for fear of losing you again (probably not that complex a thought process, but you get the idea). Plus going back to work probably adds stress in there for both of you as well. Hugs mama...sounds like this has been a hard time for you!<br><br>
Personally, I would focus on re-establishing the nursing and not worry about the potty for now. He'll get the potty back, really. But it sounds like what he needs right now is to reconnect with you. Nursing will help that. Thanks Csrlyle.He's now 6 mo. I have changed jobs. We are still nursing. yay!! But since he came home, we'cve only caught 2 pees. Plus his dad supplements during the day, as my supplu hasn't recovered ferom NOT pumping. But we'll kieep on keepin on.
