DD practically potty-trained herself at about 17 months. She's now two, and nothing. She occasionally claims to want to use the potty, but as soon as her diaper's off and she's on it, she runs away. I understand that she wants to be nude (my son was nude a lot), but we don't live in our own home, and I really can't take chances on her peeing on my mom's good rug.

I never potty-trained ds. He had 4 different caregivers (me, my ex, my sister & my MIL), and we just couldn't get a consistent approach happening. So, he potty-trained himself...but he was over 3. I'm really hoping we can get somewhere with dd before that. I'm hopeless in this area.
