A friend of mine has organized a Nurse In to occur on July 13, starting at 4:30 pm in front of the Paper's Offices. We are waiting on getting approval from the City to "gather", so please check back here to confirm the day and time.
It is hoped that this will help raise awareness that NIP is not a sexual act or indecent etc.. Our babies do not need or want to be fed in a restroom.

If you cannot or do not wish to attend, but want to show your support.. we came up with the idea of a Nursing in Public day where we would ask that people would nurse in public a bit more than they usually do. You don't have to be indescrete.. just do what you feel comfortable with.. but don't "hide" in a restroom etc... It is hoped that this will help raise awareness about nursing in public.

If you have any questions etc, please feel free to PM me. If I cant' answer them.. I'll forward them off to my friend who is organizing this.

Updates from Kim, Shaunda and Eileen who are organizing this all.. I am not organizing this.. I am only passing on the info.. so... don't kill the messenger..

seems what I thought was such a great original idea is
actualy a national movement I just didn't know about.
Promom.org is promoting and calling for Nurse-Outs all
of the country the week of July 30 - August 7 so
nursing around the county will be moved to somewhere
in that week. The nurse-in stands for July 13th.

2. While this particular diatribe was only published
in the PoJo, Jonna Spilbor is a pretty big fish, on
court TV, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC all over the place.
Sort of makes me want to have the response even
better.
5. We are going to create a yahoogroup specifically
for this purpose so that those who would like to know
all of the details can but the rest of you won't be
bothered (except for the big things... those I'll
still post) If you would like to be added to that
group e-mail me ([email protected])

6. We need to get a handle on how many people are
going to be at this before we do the press release so
if you plan on coming (again it's July 13 4:30-7:30
PM) please let me know so I can do a count. This is
not just for Nursing Moms think of it as a support
rally, anyone who wants to come we would love to be
there, I know some people will be having their
husbands, sisters and other children there. <
