i was going to order some cpf just to have around and i ran across growmearainbow.com where she sells cpf that have gussetts around the legs so they are kind of like fitteds and i assume there is no folding involved. since my dd is 18 mo i thought this might be worth the extra $3 - anyone use pre-fitteds before? is it worth the extra few bucks, or should i just get some reg pf? TIA!

I
my prefitteds from GMAR!!! No folding (unless you like a shorter rise, which I will fold down the rise a bit on my premium prefitteds because I like a lower rise)... plus, if you're more into pins and like just one pin, you can always get them with extended wings!

I just love the extra insurance of elastic at the legs.

I have 2 prefitteds from growmearainbow.com and they're great, Im not too good at getting prefolds on so these are fantastic for me since theres no folding involved (I have a wriggly 18 month old too), but they're still nice and simple like a prefold. I really want to get more to increase my stash (I mainly use pockets).

Just edited to add that I have the premium size with extended wings (definetly get these) and I'll think these will fit for a loooong time, I tried one on my 30lb 3yr old and it fit great with room to grow (she is slim-average build).

See, I'm probably going to be the lone dissenter here, but I just am not crazy about prefitteds, or altered prefolds to include all variants thereof
. I don't like the elastic at the legs because it wears out over time, and that's one of the many reasons I love, adore, and use prefolds exclusively. They also just don't have the simplicity to me, or the versatility of prefolds. I have no problem folding, and since you still have to use a closure I just don't find them any easier than regular PFs.

I just started posting here and I have to say the prefitteds ROCK!!!! I love them!
When my son was a newbie, I used regular CPFs. Then he started the Crocidile Death Roll... and I needed to slap a diaper on him fast. I use them under Baby Soft Wraps and Mother-ease covers. I have also used them under Prowraps and BSWWs. They are trim, trim, trim, contain the nasty teething poops, slap on fast, go off fast, dry quickly and wash easily.
I like that they have a little extra "bling" and her prints are wonderful! I just ordered two with fabric on them. I normally hate hinding pretty fitteds under covers, like why bother with the extra $$$ if no one is going to see it, but these have enough color to give me my pretty diapers without my husband moaning that I spent $$$ on dipes no one is going to see.
So, YES they are worth the extra $3! Heck, they are worth an extra 20, IMO!

Prefitteds rock! They are sooo trim & easy to use & clean.
I have some GMAR infant ones that Ellery just outgrew (didn't get the ext. wings DOH!)....so I order the trimfitted ones. I can't wait!!! So, yes I prefer prefitted over the standard PF.

Katherine is ... heck, *maybe* 22 pounds (she's 15 months old on Friday)... just long and skinny. She can wear infant prefolds still. But infant prefitteds get pretty small. I'd go with premiums.

Yep get the premiums with extended wings, my 18 month old is only about 21 pounds and thats what I have for her, the wings cross over slightly when I snappi it but I like that because I know theyll fit for a long time (and part of the reason I have trouble with normal prefolds is because I cant get the snappi to hold the edges without it being super tight and cutting into her tummy.....but thats just me because Im hopeless with prefolds, I wish I wasnt though because I love the idea of them).

Ok Call me strange
: I LOVE my prefolds!!!! They are so verstile to me and with a snppi hubby gets it right away!!!! He actaully has an easier time with prefolds than he does AIO's
Personnlay I think emma likes to mess with him, and she always takes her diapers off when its his shift LOL
3 years into Cding, I make diapers and yet I reach for prefolds everyday

I really like prefitteds, but only have a few - prefolds are just as easy for me now - it takes practice though. I like the look of a prefold folded around dd's little bum
and the way they look on the line
and all neatly folded in a stack ready to go on that little bum
I love love love my prefolds
