reared its ugly head today. :( My bp has been a little high for about a week, and I spilled protein this morning. Had a NST and hour-long bp check, and now I'm on bedrest. I'll see a perinatologist tomorrow morning. I'm feeling my natural, on baby's time delivery flying out the window. :( I had PIH with my first baby and had to be induced when I reached 160's/140's, but no problems with the 2nd.

Oh no, this really sucks! I hope this doesn't turn into pre-e and that the protein was a one time thing.

eat tons of protein, drink tons of water and salt your food to taste (yes, salt, pregnant women need salt differently than non-pregnant people due to our increased blood volume). www.blueribbonbaby.org

Thanks mamas! Saw the peri yesterday. Still not looking great, but I'm staying on bedrest. I'll be monitored 2x a week at appts from now on, and if necessary they'll induce at 36 weeks. :( Certainly not ideal, but unfortunately it may be the safest thing for both of us at this point. I'm definitely going to do everything I can to keep him in there as long as possible. With dd, my bp got up to 160's/140's in a matter of minutes, so I know how quickly things can change with this. Just trying to stay positive at this point and believe it will work out. :)
