Boiling? Calgon Water Softener? Dawn dish detergent? What do you find easiest or most effective?

And can I strip my nightime covers? (Bumpy night imse vimse)

I've been using Sun & Earth detergent but I'm feeling the crunch and need to move to a cheaper brand. . Any suggestions?

I don't have the perfect answer, but was wondering if you only have to strip the PUL/fleece diapers? Do you also have to strip CPFs and covers as well?

I have Happy Heiny's and have had to strip a couple times. I just scrubbed them with a brush and dish detergent (palmolive, i believe) then rinsed in hot. Then put them in the washer (without soap) and did a hot cycle. Worked ok, but I had to do it again 3 weeks later. ugh.

You can strip hemp too. I think hemp is prone to buildup because it is a natural fiber. I'm not sure how prone cpf's are to buildup.

I strip my diapes with calgon water softener at least once every two weeks (to be safe). I do it right in the washing machine. But I do have a few diapes that seem to be leaking BAD lately so I will hand strip them in the sink.

If your diapes don't have snaps, I think boiling works best. You can aslo add a little calgon to the pot.
Can you boil HH? My HH don't need it yet, just wondering. What about AIO s w/ aplix and PUL inside? Those I do need to do. I'm just not wanting to hand scrub my AIOs yet!

As for hand scrubbing, is any liquid soap ok? Just checking - I have Palmolive Ultra.

TIA!
