I did something a couple nights ago that I attribute to Pregbrain...is 7 weeks too early for that?

Well...my DH went out with a buddy after work, so it was just me and the kitties at home until late (we usually come home together). I remembered to lock both locks on the door, but I DIDN'T remember to take my keys out of the door before shutting it!

When my DH got home I was already in bed asleep. He said he raced in to see if I was OK. We're not exactly living in the safest of neighborhoods! So scary!

OK, now you! Come on, 'fess up!

I'm 11 weeks today and I did the exact same thing earlier this week, only there was no one to find them for me. I discovered what I had done the next morning when I was going crazy looking for my keys. And I can beat that....I've actually done it twice now. OMIGAWD!!

I love prego brain stories!!

I am always catching myself trying to put things in the wrong place...

dirty cooking utensils in the fridge, trash in the dishwasher, ds's baby cereal in the fridge, the butter in the cabinet. Oy. No spoilage yet, thank goodness.

I'm super super super anal about my keys and get almost downright anxious about making sure I have them, know where they are when pregnant because I know what an airhead I get to be.

I picked up the "Super Baby Food Book". In the Introduction, she says that memory loss is a symptom of having a baby, so don't try to read the whole thing. Just read certain chapters. She listed the chapters. Today I was going to read those chapters but I couldn't remember which ones they were.

I called dh today to see if he had just rinsed the covers or washed them, but by the time he answered his phone I had forgotten what I was calling about. Thankfully he came out and mentioned it for me lol.

Last week I was washing my hands when the dryer shut off. I said to myself that I needed to restart it. Later in the day I realized that by the time I had gotten done washing my hands I had forgotten. So I go down stairs and the dryer was going! I have no recollection what so ever of starting the dryer again!

keep driving off after leaving things on the roof of the car, gone, 2 pairs pf sunglasses,1 can of formula, 1 glass cup

im having a hard time focusing on anything,,in fact one of the loves of my life is playing poker,,and i havent even played once in like 3 weeks!

I can't remember things. I was racking my brain earlier trying to remember a certain word and it just would not come to mind - even though I had been thinking about it just minutes before. I ended up calling dh just so I could stop the insanity!!

I haven't noticed too much with this pregnancy, but with my last I went into the PO to check our box (the one we've had for several years). And not only could I not remember the box number, but I couldn't even remember what part of the PO it was in! I almost had to go back out to the car and have dh go in and do it, but thank goodness I remember just as I started heading for the door

oh oh just remembered-i totally forgot the first half of my social security number, couldnt remember it for nothing!!!
Then forgot the pin number to my Paypal ATM and had to call customer service to change it.

It is so bad for me lately, and I am just about 8 weeks pregnant. I ran into a woman and her baby yesterday, she greeted me and my son with both of our names and I couldn't remember EITHER of theirs! And we had guests over this weekend and I asked my friend a question and he said, you just asked me that a couple minutes ago! I didn't remember asking or what he said in response! I was talking to his wife the next day and I'm pretty sure I walked away in the middle of a conversation, when there was a lull my mind drifted right off to something else! (I realized this about 15 minutes later when I couldn't remember how our conversation ended...) Luckily they thought it was funny! I am constantly starting to go one direction in the house and then forgetting what it was that I was about to do....PREG BRAIN IS IN FULL FORCE HERE!

I said something just the other day (no idea what it was now, of course!) and my DH made fun of me because it made absolutely no sense! I told him it was because of the pregnancy and he said, "Nah, you've always been like that!"

I have walked out the door on more than one occasion, gotten into the car, driven away, and only THEN remembered I don't have shoes on.

yes, I am losing it! Aside from leaving my keys in the door to our apt (twice!), I actually forget them completely when I left for work last week. My husband and I have a kind-of complicated arrangement where he drops DD off at the sitters in the morning and leaves the car by the train stop. After work, I pick up the car at the train stop and DD at the sitters. Well, I got to the car, realized I had NO keys on me at at all! So, our sitter had to borrow her brothers car, pick me up at the train stop, drive me and DD home. Luckily, the girl who lives downstairs from us happened to have our spare set of key (because I 'forgot' to get them back from her after she watched our cats while we were on vacation). If she didn't have them, I would have been waiting until 8:00 pm till DH got home from work. Uggghhhh!

so this morning I put on some eggs to boil and sat on the couch to read while i waited. Five minutes later I thought, what is that strange sound? I couldn't figure out what my husband could be doing in the next room that would make such a loud watery sound. Five minutes after that I jumped up, remembering that the sound was my eggs, boiling to breaking in the kitchen. Oh my..

Ok, I have one for this pregnancy now

I ordered a book last night off of Amazon and it had my debit card info already in my account. But the expiration date was expired. So I go get the card, same date! So I start looking for the new ones that should have come and I'm freaking out about how we have been using our expired cards for so long and that I have no clue where the new ones were. The thought even briefly crossed my mind that the cards could have gotten into the wrong hands, I'd better call the company.

I go sit down at the computer again and take another look at the date

xx/07 hasn't come and gone...silly me.

Savmay--I've done this sooo many times that I started keeping the egg timer with me. As long as I remember to set it, I'm doing fine!

mamajo2004--that's a good one! Probably because we're all due in March 07 and somehow that's what date you have stuck in your brain!

I do the power point presentation every week for our Sunday church service. The pastor sends it to me each Thursday, and I usually do it that night, then e-mail it to the AV guy for Sunday morning.

On Thursday night, the pastor sent it a bit late, I had already gone to bed. I saw the e-mail Friday morning, but TOTALLY spaced on doing the power point...

Sunday morning, an assistant pastor said to me, "hey Jodi, did you get the power point e-mailed?" I realized I had spaced it. I had to find someone quick to work in the nursery for me while I quit put something together on the church computer...
