So here's my pregnancy brain story. We have been planning a family vacation for months now. I bought all the airline tickets, arranged for the rental car. Then I found a place to stay for our first two nights and even got tickets to see a show on our second night in town. All fine so far.<br><br>
Until 15 minutes ago when my expedia itinerary confirmation came in and said that we are flying the day after I thought we were. The day <i>after</i> I'd booked a hotel (well two if you count the night before airport hotel).<br><br>
Argh. Of course the place has a cancellation policy that they aren't going to budge on! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/shake.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shake">: So this preggie brain may cost over $200 in cancellation and rebooking fees!<br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banghead.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banghead"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/bawling.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bawl"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/crap.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="crap"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/duh.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="duh">

Oh, that's bad! Well, keep trying to get out of the cancellation fees. You never know- if you call enough times and talk to the right person you may at least be able to get them reduced.<br>
Good luck and enjoy your vacation anyway. WHere are you going?

Definately try to get out of the cancellation fees....<br><br>
But, don't beat yourself up too much. I travel a bunch for work and I have done that a couple times.....and I didn't have a preggie brain to blame at the time. The last time I did it we got to the airport and our flights were scheduled for the "right" day, but the wrong YEAR!! The skycap told me to come back in a year...<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> Needless to say I ended up paying some heafty fees.
