You know those lists about common pregnancy problems... Well, I think I'm going down the list, just checking each of them off.

I knew I'd have the back pain, and the strap-muscle pain from ribs in front top of my belly around to the spine. I had those last time. And the reflux the last two months, which I had before, too. But I'm getting terrible leg/foot cramps, and worse, I definitely have restless leg syndrome, which is really sh!tty, let me tell you!! And on top of all that, I've been having bad hemorrhoids, which is maybe worse.

Does anybody have any great remedies for these things? For RLS/cramps: I'm taking Magnesium, eating bananas & cantaloupe, drinking a lot of water, soaking in hot water and epsom salts at night, DH rubs either lotion or Icy Hot (when it's really bad) on my calves. For hemorrhoids: I'm trying to eat pineapples (for swelling), tucks pads regularly, again the hot water, obviously being careful about not straining. For reflux: same things everybody else does- Rolaids as needed, eat smaller meals (hard to do), small amounts of dairy to tame it, raised pillow... I'll try the cheese idea from another thread. Oh, and I see a chiropractor for the back pain, which helps manage it, I think. And I try to change positions often, use lumbar support, wear flatter shoes...

Anybody else having all this stuff? Geez!! I didn't have all this with my last two. I've heard that the third pregnancy is the worst, and I guess they're right. Ugh!! Anybody know any "magic cures", haha, or suggestions to help relieve these symptoms (other than having the baby, lol).

This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me too. The varoius aches and pains coupled with pretty bad anemia have kept me from exercising at all in the last 2 months. I think that has made the biggest difference for me. My only suggestion is Pregnancy Tea. I can't remember which ingredient it is exactly (between the nettles, alfalfa, and RRL) but something in there is supposed to help with the RLS, and seems to be keeping it to a minimum for me this time.

Hang in there!

I was just reading about the RLS because I think I have it. bleh. But it said that anemia can aggravate it or bring it on. Maybe get iron checked or just get some Floradix and see if that helps. I am taking iron supps and think I need to switch to Floradix.
The rest of your symptoms, it sounds like you are doing about as well as anyone could. I am sorry you are suffering. It's all for a good cause, tho!

I used to get RLS as a side effect from medications. The only thing that helped me was getting up and walking around barefoot in the cold. Heat just made it so much worse. But if you're having cramps at the same time, then cold won't be much help.
this pg is hard on me, too. I guess my body knows this is my last and wants me to remember it fondly.

I'm freaked out by the hemmoroids (SP?) because last time I didn't have them until I delivered DS. What a shock that was!
I'v had them for about a month already. Not painful as long as I relax and eat plenty of fruit, drink lots of water.
Dreading the postpartum agony....
