dd is 28 months, and we cosleep. She doesn't sleep through the night and wakes maybe 4-12 times a night, it really varies. I've given up on getting a full nights sleep. Well, now I'm 21 weeks pregnant, uncomfortable, and I have a two and a half year old that is HOT all night long and can't seem to live without being plastered up againt me. So I'm really hot, uncomfortable, and she insists on petting me when she's in that shallow sleep state (it doesn't matter where, she just has to be petting some part of my body. usually my stomach or my arms), and for some reason it drives me up the wall. she has her own bed, it's pushed up to ours. She won't sleep there. Then at dawn (despite blackout curtains) she goes into that really shallow sleep and pets me for a few hours and then goes deeper into sleep. By then I'm so annoyed and have been up for at least an hour, so I can't go back to sleep. So I'm pregnant, grumpy, uncomfortable, hot, annoyed, and exhausted. How can I make the sleep situation work for both of us? I don't want to make her unhappy, but I'm getting really grumpy about night time these days.

I know what you're going through. I'm 27 weeks PG and co-sleep with our 22 month old DD. She sleeps very soundly until around 2am, at which point she screams out or asks for me, I comfort her, and then she is very restless until she fully wakes up around 6am. It drove me up the wall until a few weeks ago. I think I must have had some hormonal shift b/c now it's not as bad, and now that I think about it, she's doing it less. Maybe our hormones are out of whack at that point in pregnancy and our little ones sense it??

I'm sorry, I don't have any advice, just wanted you to do we've gone through that, too. It's so hard being PG and touched out.
