Yesterday was a tough day with an easter dinner with my in-laws and our two toddlers had their worst day ever in toddlerdom. They were defiant, crabby, screaming - totally not themselves. I can only attribute it to no naps and hunger (they hated Grandma's food) and just being 2. They are normally so well-behaved.
Anyway by last night I was contracting more and one contraction was very strong. I've dropped more and I am SO low and look huge. I'm measuring one week ahead even though people I meet think I'm due any moment.
Today I felt fine and didn't really have much of any contractions. Last night had me getting worried with the contractions. I need to go 4 more weeks!
Today I thought I saw a tinge of brown blood discharge (not much at all), but I can't be sure cause it was so little.
I'm thinking I need to start taking it a bit easy? Is 33 weeks too early to start seeing some changes like dropping, more contractions (though generally mild and far between)? What if I start loosing some mucus plug? Is it too early for that too?

Well, you may drop and then not... babies after your first can seem to drop early, but not stay engaged the way they do with a first pregnancy.

Its not to say that you're not having some changes, but baby most likely won't stay engaged from now until the end. He/she may stay lower than before, but not engaged like "head-lodged-low".

Keep us posted on the spotting though, I'd talk to my m/w about it.

I too have heard that with subsequent pregnancies babies can drop but not stay there.

As for the contractions maybe you are just doing too much?

WIth my second I started to lose my plus at 35 weeks, and had a LOT of contractions leading up to her birth which didn't happen till 39weeks.

Thanks a lot!
Aside from a tiny bit of brownish mucous (very little mixed in with the leukorrhea) there hasn't been anything. I have only been having the regular braxton hicks - painless and mild. I don't feel any pressure, so I'm guessing he is lower, but not engaged like you two mentioned.
It'll be hilarious if I am worried and then go to 40 weeks. I had my twins at 35 weeks, so I guess if I could go to 35 wks with twins, I'll get past that with one.
