I would love some experiences from pregnant and tandem mamas. DD is almost 2 years and still nursing at least 4 times a day and I'm 3 months pregnant. Over the past few days her poop has gotten very loose - not enough to have me really worried but enough that I want to make sure that it's not an issue. I've read Adventures in Tandem Nursing and so heard about the laxative effect of colostrum on toddlers when the milk changes back to colostrum, but I'd thought that was more an issue later on - the example in the book was 6 weeks before delivery, not early in the second trimester. I noticed I'm less sore while nursing over the past week, and dd has upped her nursing a bit so I tried expressing a little milk and noticed it did seem a little more yellow-ish than usual and even a tad sticky. Could I really be getting colostrum already? Could it really be enough at this point that it could be changing dd's poop? Or should I be looking into other causes?
