I was in the store today & it was packed! I picked up the wrong detergent & this one is scented I needed to wash clothes and I can't tolerate the scent at all. I'm kind of looking forward to not being offended by scent anymore or at least being more tolerable to them.

Oy! I know what you mean. Due to various circumstances I have not been to church in a while. So we went yesterday, and I felt like I was having an asthma (sp?) attack from all the perfumes and colognes! Seriously. I could not breath. And I have never had such a problem before.

And the daily things like deoderants and powders, I had to stop wearing them months ago (went to crystal salt). And most other things that DH uses, like his static cling stuff or his deoderant, it just gags me and makes me sick to my stomach. Even cooking smells make me gag.

Will be nice to be back to "normal".

I cannot wait for this aspect to be over! Poor DH -- I think he smells, well, so strong. Too strong, IYKWIM. Of course I don't mention it to him...but man, it's a bummer. Plus I feel like I have to wash the sheets twice a week which is so much work on a cal-king bed. It wasn't quite as bad last time and while I feel guilty, it is what it is!

OMG, my dh's beard reeks! He will wash it ten times before coming to bed, but I still make him turn over. I can smell garlic in his beard from three days ago! Poor guy.

Seriously! DH keeps snuggling closer and closer and I'm trying not to inhale. Yikes! I can't sleep facing him, either - he's a mouth breather - and then I'm facing the baby on the right but I'm more comfortable on the left...and it's just not good.

I got DH some new soap/shampoo, thinking maybe he just wasn't using it, but he looked at me like I had three heads when I casually asked. It's just him, not dirt, not anything...

Not that I should talk...I can't wash my hair nearly as often as I'd like due to being like a huge roly poly in the tub.

I hear ya! I used to use scented detergent AND softener, and ever since I switched to Charlies Soap and no softener when i washing my CD's I can no longer tolerate any scented laundry. A few weeks ago my dear brother went ahead and washed some bedding for me that I left at my mom's....detergent and softener, and now I can smell it every time I walk in my kid's room, but of course he was trying to help and all I could do was smile and say thanks, bless his heart. Normally, I could get over the smell, but right now it makes me hold my breath! blech!

One of the things I like is my heightened sense of smell - but only in certain circumstances For example, we went to DHs holiday dinner party, and as soon as the wine was opened, I could tell it was a "corked" bottle even though the waiter was 2 feet away from me. In that respect, I love smelling wines and making notes.

OTOH - I'll step right up with all y'alls who can't stand the smells of their husbands.

my sense of smell is heightened, too. luckily, i use no synthetic soaps or anything in my home, so i am safe here- but out in the world, yoy! sometimes i feel like my windpipe will collapse!

anyone else notice that you, yourself, personally smell? ugh! i bathe, put on deodorant, and some days i have to go to the bathroom at work and wash my pits with soap and water. i dunno if i am the only one who smells it because everything is so amplified or what- but peeee-ew!

You know, my feet really stink! It drives me nuts but it happened last time I was pregnant, too. I had to buy some of that Dr. Scholl's odor-eater powder - luckily I still had it from preggo #1 and put it in my slippers. I think (hope) we're the only ones that notice it...somedays I cannot wait for DH to get home so I can shower. I start to really offend myself!
