Hi there,

I am 8 months pregnant, and just found out that I have been exposed to pertussis through my work place. I am completely unvaxed, and have actually had pertussis (~15 years ago).

I do not feel that I need to be too concerned, but would love some other opinions. So, if you were me, would you be worried? Would you do something/start taking something? (I am already taking 1000mg vit C, and my prenatal daily). And if so, what would you do/take?

Thanks

I had pertussis at 5.5 months pregnant. I didn't know much about sodium ascorbate then and didn't consider taking anything for it until I started having upper quadrant contractions. Other than vit C I can't think of anything you could do.

Having had pertussis before doesn't mean much unless it was recent and your lungs are still recovering.
