Hello and Happiest of holidays!
My name is Mary, I've just turned 46 and Dh and I couldn't be happier that we are 6wks pg today. I have #1dd that is 5.4yrs who would nurse always if allowed!! At her "weaning party" in Nov. she whispered to me can I just "nilky" one more time? I said, yes of course. She fell asleep that night w/o nursing and first thing in the morning asked "since I missed last night do I have one in the bank?" Ahh, the beauty of nursing an older child. #2dd is 2.6yrs and also loves her "nilky". She is much more, well the term we use around here is "bubba" than #1dd. So she is easily distracted. I was hoping that 3rd time would be a charm with the morning, noon, night etc. sickness, but no go. As I was hugging the throne last week and my DH entered the room, I looked at him and said "What was I thinking!!" The last 2 times I had real bad dehydration but can only hope it's easier this time (so far not so good). We all know that the rewards so out weight the difficulties of this part though. Trying to nurse and "spew" (as we fondly call it around here) is a bit of a challenge! I am more of a reader than a writer on this web site and I always find the comfort and support I need. I wanted to thank you kind and wonderful Mothers and wish you all the best of the holiday season. Mary

Congrats Mary! Thank you for sharing your story. I hope that you feel better soon. I am still nursing the 27 month old and we are going to ttc in the late spring. I worry about the sickness, sore nipples, and still nursing a tot. I guess I'll just take it as it comes.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!! I am currently tandem nursing my 3.5 yo and my 15 month old and am 23 weeks pg with #3. This pg has been so much harder than the last 2. I had m/s much longer, am constantly exhausted, and just feeling yucky all over. I think part of it is definitely the combination of nursing 2 and pg. I find I feel so much better if I drink tons of water, eat lots of protien and iron foods, snack constantly, and just really relax as often as my boys will let me. I hope you are feeling better soon. Just be easy on yourself
