Hi,
I'm 22 wks pregnant at 44 yrs old and this cough/cold is wearing me down. It started Wed before Thanksgiving. I had to come into work Mon and today because there was no one to cover. I cough every night practically non-stop because it feels like a feather constantly tickling my throat.

My 2 yr old DS started out with pink eye that went away, so I thought I caught whatever it was from him, but now he seems to be coming down with what I have. The coughing is starting to become productive, but its mostly dry. I couldn't get a doctor's appt the other day, so the nurse recommended all this junk to take while pregnant, such as Robatussin and Musicnex (spell?).
I don't like taking that kind of stuff.

I've been taking some SA, colliodal silver (is this safe during pregnancy?) and some of that elderberry syrup. I have DHA and some flax seed oil, but my cod liver oil is expired, and I don't have the money to buy more. Anything else cheap I could use to get rid of this? My sides are aching and this baby must be wondering what is going on with all the violent coughing. I don't think its whooping cough, by the way. I have some running nose, but only when coughing and it is green.

Ask for a formula called Golden Chi. I swear by this stuff!!! I had severe bronchitis in the third month of my last pregnancy. My cough was so bad that my doctor finally broke down and gave me a cough syrup with codeine in it. My husband is an acupuncturist and his herb supplier, Blue Poppy Herbs, came out with a new formula for coughs and he brought it home for my to use since we were both extremely uncomfortable with me taking codeine.
