I hope this is the right place for this.

I am 7 weeks pregnant and have found out that I have, in addition to chronic EBV, another condition that has a high chance of affecting the baby in utero. There is nothing I can do about this and I'm really trying to relax and leave it in God's hands. I don't want to succumb to anxiety.

Is there anything that can help lessen anxiety, short of a couple glasses of wine? I am thinking maybe a pregnancy-safe tea or herbal remedy?

Thank you

Have you considered hypnosis and affirmations? I didn't have issues with my pregnancy but did hypnobabies for pain during delivery. Part of the program was that I practiced hypnosis daily with CDs and did an affirmation CD daily. I cannot tell you haw helpful it was! I was the most relaxed pregnant woman ever, so calm.

As I said, I wasn't worried in particular about the baby other than it being my first successful preg after infertility and miscarriage. So I didn't have stress like you probably have. But I couldn't believe how great I felt daily after each hypnosis session. Perhaps you could find some hypnosis program to help.

I had previously done relaxation imagery CDs for infertility and that too was so helpful.

I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for, but what about a nice bath? When I was pregnant, I was just so tired and worn out and stressed that I found myself taking baths several times a week just to help get to sleep. I'm especially fond of lemon eucalyptus bath salts.

I also enjoyed some lime tea and a pregnancy tea.
