My son was born at 29 weeks 5 days after I went into PTL at 27 weeks. We are going to start TTC in December. I am starting to chart this month (started today actually). I am a midwife in progress and know all the reasons why I should not dwell on the premature birth of my son, but is anyone here TTC after a premature birth? My reasons for going into labour are unknown (well largely, there could have been many factors that did it). I had a healthy and uneventful pregnancy to the point where I was going into PTL.
I am eating healthy. I was considering getting an IUD, but when my OB measured me for the Mirena by ultrasound I my uterus was too small to insert it. She said I would have nothing but problems if she inserted it. She did not recommend the paraguard due to my being prone to infection (despite that it comes in different sizes). She recommended the mini-pill or Depo (neither of which I am willing to do). So it's condoms charting and luck! lol. NO really, if I got pregnant now... it wouldn't be IDEAL, but it would be fine... so I don't worry about it too much.
I am just rambling. I hope you ladies don't mind me hanging out here watching your progress and sharing your insight.
Best of luck to all and hope you see your big fat positives ASAP!
Olivia!!
