Thought it might be nice to share some tips on preparing for the nauseau and overall yuckiness that usually sets in soon (or already for some of us!)

I'm stocking up on lemons and bags of ice (we have well water we can't really drink, gross). I love iced lemon water when I fell pukey.

Buying bags of mints! Any hard candy mints, I usually keep a bag in my purse or car.

b6 vitamins

I've heard avocados can help MS, I ate a bunch of them for breakfast last time around.

I should probably stock up some easy dinners for the kids but since it's hot we'll probably do a lot of salads and fruit (and take out pizza when I can't deal).

I'm only 4w2d so I still feel great, but usually between 5-6 weeks, things take a turn downhill...

What are you all doing to prep?

I went out and got organic saltines, San Pellegrino mineral water, and some organic natural soda ginger ale. I didn't get ms until about week 8 last time and it only lasted about 3 weeks, so I'm hoping that being prepared will ward away the sickness!

I'll have to keep the avocados in mind. I think I may make ginger tea or ginger mint tea if it gets bad. Crossing my fingers!

Motion sickness bands are my life saver, helped better than anything else. Ive already ordered a set.
Mints are great, peppermint helped me a lot last time.
I don't drink tea but I hear Raspberry leaf tea and mint tea help with morning sickness.
Make sure to eat small regular meals. The longer between meals the more likely you are to feel sick.
Keep a bucket by the bed (yea, icky I know but its worse having to clean it up in the middle of the night, trust me).
If you drink soda, clear sodas are the best. Ginger ale, sprite etc.
Oh avoid foods that might be sharp coming up. Popcorn cut my throat up with my first when I made the mistake of eating it. I knew better with my second.
If it makes you sick don't eat it again no matter how good it is for you.

Sometimes the weirdest things will help. Right now when I feel sick I drink a little of the lemon vitamin water they sell out here and it makes me feel a ton better. If you find something that makes you feel a little better stock up on it. It will be worth it in the long run.

That's interesting. Maybe I'll order a set as well...

Has anyone tried acupuncture for morning sickness? I had awful, awful morning sickness with my DD and I am trying to prepare myself for this time as best as I can. With DD, I lived on instant mashed potatoes. Gross, I know - it was the only thing I could somewhat keep down.

I would like to hear about using acupuncture for morning sickness. I had terrible morning sickness with my ds, like I couldn't get out of bed and it lasted 20 weeks.

I never know what to stock up on because my cravings always change. I am glad that I live 2 blocks from the grocery store. It is close for when dh makes a run for me!

I don't think I brushed my teeth a lot last time during those first intense weeks of vomiting! =

and thankfully I have had a bit of queezyness, but no nausea this pregnancy. With my first, I was sick literally all day for the entire pregnancy. I'm so glad that every pregnancy is different. I hope it does not creep up on me.

I eat mini saltines all day long and they're a lifesaver! I like the mini ones better because the regular size ones make a lot of crumbs.

I could not agree more about tooth paste
