DD is working on her second cold in less than a month :

she is nearly 7 m.o.

is there anything i can do to help prevent her from getting another cold? the things i do for myself when i can tell a cold is in the works--lots of vitamin C, zinc lozenges, homeopathic cold medicine--i can't so much do for her. i am giving her the hyland's c+ cold tablets but i can't tell if they're helping.

what can i do to strengthen her immune system, other than continue nursing a lot? and chiro? (i do take her for adjustments pretty regularly.)

or do babies just get lots of colds? it's sad to see her so sniffly and grumpy :

I would guess that it is actually the same cold that just hasn't run it's course yet. I say that b/c my son had a similar problem at that age and of course I posted on MDC about it! Mommas were telling me that it was very common for a typical cold to take forever to really run it's course. Even when it appears to have passed, it may not have and then symptoms start to make themselves visible again. So, I wouldn't fret too much, it will pass soon enough.

I know i is hard to see your little one sick, but remember that it is helping your DC's development and immunity for future illnesses. Just a part of growing up! Nursing is the best thing you can do! Keep doing it!

P.S. I loooooooooove my chiro too! My best friend's 9 month old daughter finally has relief from a chronic stuffy/runny nose issue she had since birth after a few visits to our chiro! Amazing!
