Our girls are now 3 months old and I have to say that it has been WAY better than I expected. They have been exclusively breastfed from the beginning and are growing out of everything by the week. I never thought I would love having twins (heck, I sobbed when we found out), but it's been really terrific! I actually think I'm still on some sort of strange hormonal high as I'm sure I should feel much more tired/cranky, but I don't
Anyhow, I was completely entertained last night as I watched them stick their tongues out at each other...so much fun to watch them discover each other. They have even starting sleeping 6 hours IN A ROW.

So, for all you mamas out their expecting twins, this is what you have to look forward to https://flic.kr/p/3418013750

I know, I love having twins, too. I mean, I am chafing a lot of the time, and frustrated during the (double) nap boycotts, like RIGHT NOW. Augh!!!!!

But I am in love with the experience and with the babies.

That photo is so cute! My boys started noticing each other directly (they always were "aware" and in contact with each other, it was almost mystical, the way they'd link arms/grab hands/touch touch touch--but they almost never actually LOOKED at each other) and really seeing each other at around 4 months. I recently told my SIL that the first time they lay eyes on each other each morning is the most singular moment. It is amazing to be able to witness that.

This is so hard, but it is awesome!! I'm glad you are having a good time!

(And yes, I must echo that "the best is yet to come." We are fast approaching 9 months, and it just keeps getting better. I can imagine how much more amazing it is as they get older, too.)

Adorable picture!!!

I agree! It's so entertaining. Even when we're exhausted it's totally worth it

And heck, there are days when I need the entertainment. My girls are almost 21 months. Today one said to the other, say please. She says please and is handed a toy. She then says, say thank you, and twinnie does. Teaching each other manners LOL

And I totally could have written what you wrote. I cried many time during my pregnancy wonder how I would be able to enjoy my babies when I just felt like I'd be trapped by two.

Now I'm having so much fun. I'm handling it so much better than I thought. I'm breastfeeding!!!!! I had a nurse in the hospital tell me, "You were made to be a mom to twins". I thought it was a sweet statement but didn't really believe her.

Today when I tandem nursed my boys and I had already run a bunch of errands with them, I thought about her comment. Yep, I'm made to be a mom to twins!
